FIVE people have been arrested after a dramatic police car chase ended in Popley today.
A police helicopter was also involved in the chase, which ended when the stolen car crashed into a tree in Mallory Road, just before midday.
The five people – four men and one woman, all from Basingstoke – were arrested and are currently in police custody.
The car was stolen from a house in High Drive, on The Berg Estate, sometime between 6.43am and 10.53am this morning.
