VOLUNTEERS from an Odiham befriending service have been recognised for their work.
Councillor Myra Billings, the outgoing chairman of Hart District Council, presented awards to 22 volunteers from the Odiham Cottage Hospital Service.
The service, which operates three days a week, aims to enhance the quality of life for adults suffering life-limiting illnesses or with palliative care needs.
In total 93 people and two organisations have been honoured in the last 12 months under Hart’s recognition scheme.
