A TADLEY man has been charged in connection with game poaching.
Jimmy James, 33, of Aldermaston Road, Tadley, is one of four men accused of trespassing on land in West Ilsley in pursuit of game poaching on October 26 last year.
They were arrested after a gamekeeper spotted men with lurcher dogs on his land and believed them to be hare coursing.
As well as the poaching offence, James was charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
John Light, 34, of Mylum Close, Reading, was charged with daytime trespassing in pursuit of game poaching, driving without a licence and without insurance.
Albert Kempster, 33, of Arters Lawn, Marchwood, Southampton, and Kirk Rees, 43, of Macauley Gardens, Newport, Gwent, were both charged with daytime trespassing in pursuit of game poaching.
The men were charged last Thursday and were released on bail to appear at Newbury Magistrates’ Court on February 5.
