WORK was due to be completed this week on repairing a Whitchurch road that was damaged in the recent flooding.
A temporary road closure has been in place on the road to Ashley Warren, between Cole Henley Road and Hare Warren Lane.
Work to repair the road started on March 25 and was expected to last 21 days.
Councillor Seán Wood-ward, executive member for economy, transport and environment at Hampshire County Council, said: “Ashley Warren has temporarily been made an access-only road due to the damage the recent heavy rainfall has caused to the foundations and surface of the road.
“As the road is drying out, large potholes have started to appear, so engineers are monitoring the area and any safety repairs will be carried out.”
He added: “As this road is mainly used by local residents, they have all been advised to access their homes from the north and to use the road with care.”
