A BASINGSTOKE man has died following a collision which led to a road closure in Andover this morning (Tuesday, 27 February).
Officers were called to the incident on the eastbound A303, just north of the railway line, at 7.26am today following reports of a single vehicle collision.
The driver of the car, a 44-year-old man, from Basingstoke, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The road closure has now been lifted, however, investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing. Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened or who saw the vehicle prior to the incident.
