Man arrested for attempting to meet 13-year-old girl for sexual grooming
A MAN has been arrested man on suspicion of attempting to meet a child for sexual grooming.
The 27-year-old man, from Basingstoke, was arrested following reports that he was planning to meet a 13-year-old girl.
Police were called to Penge Road, Croydon at 4.30pm on Friday, 10 November, where the man had arranged to meet the girl.
However, when he arrived there was no child for the man to meet, members of an online vigilante group who had been in contact with the man over the internet, had brought him to the location.
The 27-year-old has been bailed to a date in early December.
