DETECTIVES in an attempted murder probe have charged one man and arrested another.
At around 8.30am on Saturday in Stag Hill, Basingstoke, a 28-year-old man was shot in the face and back with what was believed to be a BB gun, after he refused to give two men a lift.
This morning, Travis Taylor, 21, of Branton Close, Basingstoke, has been charged with attempted murder and having an imitation firearm in connection with the attack.
He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court this morning.
Meanwhile, a 23-year-old man from Basingstoke has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He is currently in police custody.
The victim was taken to Basingstoke hospital for treatment for his injuries and was later discharged.
