A 21-year-old Basingstoke man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a police appeal launched yesterday.
The man is in police custody in connection with the Saturday 28, October assault of a 28-year-old man in Stag Hill at around 8.30am.
The victim was shot in the face and back with what was believed to be a BB gun, after he refused to give two men a lift.
He was taken to North Hampshire Hospital for treatment however later discharged.
Hampshire police released descriptions of the two men yesterday and appealed for anyone with information of the attack to come forward.
