Police appeal for information after elderly resident pays more than £1,000 for minor gardening work
AN ELDERLY woman in Basingstoke has been the victim of rogue traders after paying over £1,000 for minor gardening work.
The work was carried out by three men at a house in Pack Lane, between 9:45am and 12:30pm on Tuesday May 2.
After the work was completed, the woman parted with approximately £1,600.
Police would like to speak with anyone who saw a white van which was in the area of Pack Lane, in particular any vehicle near to the premises, which is near Stratton Park, at the time the work took place.
