THE body of a man believed to be in his 50s was discovered in undergrowth in Hook this morning.

Police were called at 8.33am, to reports of a body along Griffin Way South, on arrival, officers found the body of a man, aged in his 50s, in bushes.

The B3349 Griffin Way South was completely closed off in both directions and a cordon put in place.

The road has since re-opened.

The death is unexplained, but is not being treated as suspicious at this time, and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

Police said there is no cause for concern for the wider public.
