A NUMBER of garages have been targeted during a series of break-ins in Buckskin.
Police have received five reports of people breaking into garages of properties in the Buckskin area between November 5 and November 11.
Out of the four break-ins no items were stolen, however from one property a number of motor cross equipment and tools had been taken.
PCSO Katie Walker said: "We are now back to the darker evenings, and with Christmas approaching, we tend to find a rise in burglary non-dwellings."
Police are urging residents to secure any expensive items they may store in their garages, to consider covering windows with curtains to obscure the view of the contents and to ensure garden fences are in good repair between neighbours to prevent unlawful access.
If anyone has any information on these break-ins or has been a victim of one, they could contact Basingstoke CID on 101.
