A FLAG bearing the name of Tadley Calleva FC has been spotted in the streets of Marseille as police deployed tear gas last night, reportedly to diffuse England fans during this year's European football championships.

As reported by the BBC, it is the second night that tear gas has been used to move England fans congregated on the streets.

The Tadley Calleva FC flag was spotted by Twitter users this morning as footage from BBC showed images of last night's incident.

Smoke can be seen clouding a street upon which flags from football teams from across the country are hung.

Other team flags that can also be seen include one with the name Hertfordshire emblazoned on it.

This morning Shadow Home Secretary Andy Burnham slammed some of the behaviour of England fans tweeting: "When you think of the terror threat and everything the French are dealing with, makes behaviour of these England "fans" even more embarrassing".

However, others said many England fans were simply having a good time.

Alex Campbell, BBC Newsnight producer who was at the scene, tweeted: "Most England fans here are simply drunk and singing. But the glass bottles aimed at police are becoming more regular."

The fans have congregated in Marseille ahead of England's game tonight against Russia.

There is no suggestion  that any of the fans from Tadley Calleva FC had been involved in any bad behavior.
