POLICE are warning residents to secure their vehicles after high value power tools were stolen from a van in Eversley yesterday.

Officers believe that the LDV van was left insecure on a driveway in Reading Road, allowing the thieves to gain access and take the tools from within.

The incident, which took place between 2.30pm and 2.45pm yesterday, is now being investigated by officers who are appealing for witnesses who may have any information.

PCSO Nick Greenwood said: “Please remember to secure your vehicle even if it is left for a brief time. Opportunist offenders will exploit any opportunity to deprive people of their property.

“Please also consider removing tools from vehicles overnight and enhancing the security on vehicles containing valuable property.”
