POLICE are warning residents to not leave scrap metal round their property as it is inviting to thieves. 

The warning comes after an attempted to steal three old car radiators from private land in Binley. 

The incident which took place between 10am, on March 11 and 2.15pm on March 12, where the offenders gained access to the field in which the radiators were in and then moved them all to the middle of the green.

Police believe the offender may have been disturbed before they had a chance to take the radiators away as they remained in the middle of the field. 

Hampshire Constabulary are urging people not to leave any scrap metal objects around their premises as they may be stolen to be sold on.
