OFFICERS are appealing for anyone who saw or helped a distressed girl in the Popley area of Basingstoke on Friday, December 18 to come forward.
A 15-year-old girl was seen to be in distress in the Popley Way/Trinidad Close area of Popley sometime between 6pm and 8.30pm that day.
A member of the public is said to have come to her aid.
Officers are keen to trace this person or anyone else who saw this girl as part of their investigation into what happened.
