A GROUP of youths was spotted throwing objects from a bridge over the Basingstoke ring road.

Police are appealing for more information after a car was hit by a stone on Ringway South at 9.25pm on Saturday, July 11.

The victim was driving his silver Vauxhall Astra between the Black Dam roundabout and the Hackwood Road roundabout, when he saw the group on the flyover which links Old Common Road and Black Dam Way.

He saw the group throw an object, believed to be a stone, and it hit the top left hand side of the car’s windscreen, causing it to crack.

None of the people in the car were injured in the incident.

One of the youths was wearing a white top and two were dressed in dark clothing.
