A Basingstoke and Deane Borough Councillor arrested on suspicion of theft has had his bail date extended.
As reported by The Gazette, Independent Brighton Hill South councillor Matthew Ellery was arrested on suspicion of theft from his father's shop, Squirrels Collectors Centre, in New Street, in February.
And police have now confirmed that Ellery's bail has been extended from May 14 to June 1.
Ellery denies the allegations of theft.
