CALLS to Hampshire police on their non-emergency number will now cost 15p from landlines and mobile phones.
Following the introduction in January 2012 of the national non-emergency number for police forces, 101, Hampshire Constabulary has now removed the 0845 045 45 45 number.
This is a set charge from telephone service operators to cover the cost of the call and is not returned to the Government or police forces.
Anyone calling with a non-emergency matter should use 101. In an emergency always dial 999.
Those unable to use the 101 number can call 01962 875000.
