A MAN punched a teenage girl in the face in an alleyway in South Ham.

The attack on the 14-year-old girl took place between Worting Road and St Peter’s Road, between 2.45pm and 3pm on Thursday, January 22.

Two men verbally abused the girl and forced her to get off her bike as she cycled to school to study.

One of the men then punched her, but the girl managed to run away with her bike to St Nicholas Court. She was not injured but police said she has been left shaken and afraid to cycle on her own again.

Both men wore black hooded tops and black or brown bandanas over their faces.

They wore dark trousers, and were around 5ft 9ins tall and of muscular build.
