THREE men ran away from police after being stopped in a car on the A30 near Hartley Wintney.

The men, travelling in a Ford Focus, were stopped on the A30 between Blackbushe Airport and Blackwater just after midnight on Monday, January 12.

Police said that as they were being arrested, one of the men assaulted an officer and all three managed to flee on foot.

Hampshire Constabulary have released pictures of the three men, named as Jason Eastwood, 18, from Farnborough, Michael Redford, 21, from Sandhurst, Berkshire and Nathan Redford, 27, also from Sandhurst.

They are wanted in connection with a number of offences including assaulting a police officer, going equipped for theft and shoplifting, police said.

Detective Sergeant Gavin Whyte said: “I would urge members of the public who have seen these men or know who they are to contact police immediately.

“It’s believed they do have access to a vehicle and are travelling between Hampshire, the Thames Valley and Surrey.”
