A YOUNG woman died after her car came off a road in Hartley Wintney and crashed into a tree.

The woman, aged in her 20s, was the driver of a car that came off Bracknell Lane at 6am on Sunday morning.

She was taken to hospital but died there a short time later.

Police said yesterday that the woman’s immediate next-of-kin had been informed. She has not been formally identified yet.

It was the second fatal car collision to take place in western Hart in just four days.

A 69-year-old man died on Thursday evening when he was hit by two cars as he tried to cross Dunley’s Hill in Odiham.
