WHIST drive: The monthly whist drive is held at the hall on the second Thursday of the month.
Last Thursday's meeting saw four tables being played. That's at least 16 people enjoying the game and light refreshments at a cost of £1.50.
More are welcome, so why not come along to the next whist drive in June at 6.45pm?
PLANT sale: On Sunday, from 1pm to 2.30pm, is the horticultural society plant sale at the Jolly Farmer, in Cliddesden (not the hall as in the newsletter's forthcoming events).
The society has existed since just after the Second World War and puts on a varied selection of events.
There will be a talk on "Nepal, a Plant Hunter's Trek" on Wednesday, May 28, at Ellisfield. On June 5, there will be a guided garden tour at Spring Pond, in Laverstoke, and, on June 18, a visit to Noar Hill, in Selbourne, for a guided walk with orchids in bloom.
On June 23 it is the best gardens competition.
Contact stephen.bowb cutt@btinternet.com for more information.
CHURCH plant sale: Is on Saturday, May 24, at the church, from 1pm, and offers high-quality plants and produce at bargain prices.
