BUSY Bees: Vote for the new pre-school building fund in the annual Greenham Gift competition.
There is a prize of £50,000 for the winner but, first of all, they have to get on the shortlist by amassing as many votes as possible.

MUSIC: This weekend looks set to be busy as the Newbury Spring Festival brings the Trio Wander to St Mary's Church tomorrow (call 01635 522733 to book), and Basingstoke Male Voice Choir performs on Saturday (call 01635 298836 to book).
PARISH council: Meets on Monday, at 7.30pm.
The opening part will be the annual general meeting, when the new chairman is elected and roles are shared out by councillors for the coming year.
GARDENING club: There will be an evening visit on Thursday, June 19, to a garden at Southend, near Reading.
Travel by car to arrive at 7.30pm. Admission costs £3.50, refreshments extra.
The main outing is to Wisley on Wednesday, August 20.

PLANT sale: The Friends of St Mary's have a plant sale in the churchyard on Saturday, from 10am.
VILLAGE Club outings: There are two more outings in June.
On Wednesday, June 4, there will be a trip to a Wiltshire cheese-making farm for demonstrations and a tour; and Saturday, June 21, will probably be a return to the Savill Garden at Windsor.
A trip to Art in Action is planned.
