AFTER the glamour of the Grammys, Ross Stirling will have his sights set on having a ball.

Ross is one of the organisers of a charity ball being held in aid of two great causes.

The event is the eighth of its kind and is organised by Ross and two friends who first met as young rugby players when they were members of Basingstoke RFC more than 20 years ago.

Ross, Robbie Northcote and David Jones are hosting the ball, which will be held in Keepers Cottage, Hackwood Park, Alton Road on February 15.

The ticket price of £70 will include a champagne reception, three-course meal, entertainment from a live band and a charity auction with goodies including driving days, designer bags and more top gifts.

Money raised will be split between Macmillan Cancer Support and The Ark Cancer Centre Charity, which is raising money for a cancer centre which will be built in north Hampshire.

Ross, 30, said: “There are 400 tickets for sale, and it’s always a great night. We usually raise in the region of £10,000 and we are hoping to top that this year.

“We raise money for different causes each year. This year we chose The Ark Cancer Centre Charity after reading about the difference the centre will make to people locally.”
