FURIOUS parents are joining forces to try to save their popular Hampshire pre-school.
A decision by the association that runs Fareham's Northwest Community Centre to reduce the resident nursery's hours by four a day - booting them out every afternoon - has already been made.
But parents of the 91 toddlers that attend Little Munchkins Pre-school and Nursery are putting up a fight as the nursery's owners say they would not be able to operate if they had to close at 2pm each day, instead of the current 6pm.
They have written to members of Fareham Northwest Community Association, which manages the centre, begging them to change their minds.
The association has already voted to cut the nursery's hours from February to enable other community groups to use the centre.
Nursery staff are organising a meeting to inform the local community of the planned changes. The meeting will take place on Tuesday at Henry Cort Community College at 7pm.
