Sponsor parts of village hall plea
 |
| Staying alive: Whitchurch Parish Hall. |
A CALL to support Whitchurch Parish Hall was heard at the recent annual meeting.
While delivering the parish hall management committee report, Gillian Webb spoke of a desire to get public support and interest from the town council.
Mrs Webb said the plans drawn for the refurbishment would be on view to the public shortly.
"We are looking for the public to support us by sponsoring a floorboard, a beam, a brick, a chair, or just making a donation," she said.
"With Whitchurch still growing we cannot allow the demise of this central, public, much loved location.
"The fact that the windows are boarded up does not mean it is closed for good, but a requirement of the insurance company while not being used."
