Pedestrian dies after crash

A MAN has died eight days after suffering head injuries in a collision with a car in Basingstoke.
The incident occurred in Winchester Road, near the Brighton Hill roundabout, at 7.40pm on Sunday, October 14.
A Chrysler Grand Voyager car was in collision with the 40-year-old man, as he walked near to the Halfords garage.
The man, who is from Basingstoke, was taken to Basingstoke hospital, before being transferred to Southampton General Hospital, where he died yesterday.
The car driver, a 36-year-old Basingstoke woman, was shaken but uninjured. No arrests have been made.
Officers are still trying work out the circumstances surrounding the crash. Anyone with information can contact Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Welham.
