Public inquiry to decide future of Flashetts footpath

A PUBLIC inquiry will decide whether a footpath should be redefined as a bridleway.

The hearing will be held in Overton Community Centre on October 3 and 4, to investigate the application to change Flashetts footpath to a bridleway. Hampshire Count Council decided to upgrade the path, which runs from Kingsclere Road to Station Road in Overton, after residents provided evidence to show it had been used for horse-riding since the 1950s.

But objections from other residents have resulted in the inquiry being held to determine its status.

What a crumby story. Who cares about this triviality?
