Homes in Worting Road could become flats

TWO houses, which have been converted into bedsits, could be changed to flats if permission is granted by the borough council.

An application has been submitted asking to change two houses in Worting Road, Basingstoke, from houses with multiple occupants (HMOs) containing 13 bedsits, to eight flats with one and two bedrooms. Permission was granted for the mid-terrace properties, which have three floors, to become HMOs in 1995.

The application said the change of use is an “improvement on current provision.”
