Travellers set up camp at Royal British Legion site in Bramley
TRAVELLERS have set up camp in Bramley at the Royal British Legion site, off The Street.
It is believed some of them moved to the site from Bullsdown open space, Bramley, where temporary security measures have been put in place. The police are aware of the situation and Royal British Legion legal advisers were working to remove the travellers on Tuesday.
Bramley Parish Council has written to the owners of the village play area at Longbridge Road to ask for permission to allow them to protect the land from being used as a site for travellers.
The land was granted village green status by a county council regulatory committee after a battle between developer Radio-tropic and residents.
