£45,000 investment for Tadley

TADLEY Town Council is planning to invest £45,000 for the next three years as an “investment for the future”.

The finance and general purposes committee voted to place parish council reserves in a savings account to gather interest, despite some concerns that the money would be tied up.

Six of the seven councillors at the meeting on Monday, August 20, voted in favour of the proposal, with Cllr Stuart Frost voting against.

A final decision will be made by the full council.

Nice idea but perhaps they should catch up on trimming back hedges and trees especially by the swimming pool and down New Road preventing the need for walkers to have to keep stepping into the road.
