A MAN was detained after threatening to jump off a bridge in Basingstoke town centre.
Police officers were called to the bridge, which goes over Timberlake Road, at 5.15pm on August 14, where the 31-year-old man was standing on the wrong side of the railings.
He was talked down from the bridge, near Church Street, at 6.49pm and was then detained by officers under the Mental Health Act.
