A MOTORCYCLIST who died in a collision on the A30 near Old Basing has been named.
Rowan Ivan Morse, of Pine Avenue, Camberley, Surrey, died when his Suzuki motorbike was in collision with a red Laguna at 7.20pm on Tuesday evening.
The 33-year-old was travelling westbound when the collision took place near the Water End Lane junction.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and officers closed the westbound carriageway until midnight on Tuesday to examine the scene and clear debris.
The Laguna driver, a 45-year-old man from Basingstoke, was uninjured and arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has been bailed until December 10.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact PC Rob Lewis or Sergeant Nigel Burt at Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Rustic.
