FAMILY and friends paid their final respects to murdered teenager Robert Sebbage this afternoon.

Hundreds of mourners arrived at St Mary’s Church in Goat Lane, Basingstoke for the 18-year-old’s funeral.

The teenager was killed while on holiday with friends on the Greek island of Zante, on July 13.

His blue coffin – in recognition of his love of Reading Football Club - was carried into the church by his family and friends, including his two brothers Steven and Martin.

Reverend Trevor Woodget, who took the service, told the 400-strong congregation: “Robert will never be forgotten and he leaves a deep sense of loss behind in our hearts. For many of you, the last few weeks have been the most traumatic of your life.”

Robert, a former Hurst Community College pupil, battled with a rare bowel condition all his life.

He was on holiday with eight friends in Zante when he was stabbed to death following an argument with two taxi drivers.
