A WEEKEND of fashion shows, makeovers and music is on the cards in Basingstoke town centre this weekend.

Festival Place’s Festival of Fashion kicks off tomorrow until Sunday with a series of catwalk shows to give a taste of what the shopping centre’s stores have to offer this season for all ages, shapes and sizes.

On Saturday, TV stylist Wendy Elsmore will be on hand giving customers personal fashion tips and delivering 15-minute Top Style Sessions, giving customers the opportunity to learn how the right T-Shirt with the right accessories, hair and make-up can make all the difference.

Those taking part will also get a wallet-sized photo of themselves for a £2 donation to the Army Benevolent Fund.

On Sunday, at 1pm the fashion guru will return to do a style makeover on The Soldiers, a singing trio comprising of soldiers Sergeant-Major Gary Chilton, Sergeant Richie Maddocks and Lance-Corporal Ryan Idzi.

The singers will round off their Basingstoke appearance with a performance and the Basingstoke Rock Choir will also be showcasing their vocal skills throughout the day.

Catwalk shows will be running throughout the three days.
