IT'S a showcase event for businesses in the Basingstoke area – but would-be winners need to act fast if they want to be in with a chance of glory at the INSPIRE10 Business Awards.
The deadline for entries is Friday – so there is still time for last-minute entrants to get their nominations in.
The aim of the prestigious awards – in which 12 gongs are up for grabs – is to give leading local businesses an opportunity to gain the recognition they deserve and pay tribute to the hard work and dedication of their staff.
Councillor Andrew Finney, the leader of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, which is the lead sponsor for the awards, said: “I would like to encourage businesses from across the north Hampshire region to enter the INSPIRE10 Business Awards.
“Successful businesses are a vital part of the local economy and the recognition and promotion gained through being shortlisted for, or winning, an award can really make a big difference to your organisation.”
Last year, Southern Communications, headed by chief executive Paul Bradford, won the top accolade, Business of the Year.
Encouraging others to try and follow in his firm’s footsteps, Paul said: “The INSPIRE awards are fantastic and the local PR you will get is absolutely superb – it really brings up your company profile.”
This year, the business awards gala dinner will be held at a new and impressive complex on the Hatch Industrial Park, which will be transformed to provide an inspiring setting on Thursday, November 18, when the winners will be announced.
