POND dipping, face painting and craft activities will be on offer next week as part of a national event.
The free activities at Eastrop Park, Basingstoke will mark National Play Day and give parents and their children the chance to play and learn together.
On August 4 between 11am and 4pm, families can head to the park to join in the fun organised by the borough council and Basingstoke Play Ltd, where there will also be pet farm animals, dancing, messy play and a bouncy castle.
Car parking in Eastrop Park will be limited to disabled badge holders only, but there will be a free park and ride service operating from the Old Common in London Road between 10.30am and 4.30pm.
June Balcombe, the council’s community development and learning manager said: “This annual opportunity enables people of all ages to come and take part in a huge variety of great activities and really get involved in a fantastic free fun day for all the family.”
