A CHINOOK crew from RAF Odiham was forced to make an emergency landing today in a farmer’s field.
The unscheduled stop took place at around 2.30pm this afternoon in a field near the B3400 between Worting and Oakley.
None of the three crew members on board from 18 Squadron were injured in the incident.
A team of engineers from the north Hampshire airbase was called to the scene to get the aircraft back in the air, but the aircraft was still in the field by 5pm.
Flight Lieutenant Aaron Stewart told The Gazette the crew found a fault with the hydraulics system while carrying out a training flight, and decided to land.
