THE most committed and hard-working students at Basingstoke College of Technology have been rewarded for their efforts.

BCOT’s annual student services awards saw more than 150 students collect awards recognising their positive attitude, good behaviour and dedication.

The students were nominated for the awards by their college tutors.

Students’ union representatives and Aim Higher ambassadors, who encourage students to continue into higher education, were also presented with awards.

Each winner was handed a £15 HMV voucher and a certificate.

Karen Gladwish, student services administrator, said: “We have had more successes this year than we have ever had.

“We have had more participation from the students’ union and the numbers of students who are applying themselves is high.”
