BASINGSTOKE hospital treated 5,252 more patients in the last financial year than in the previous 12 months.
The hospital’s annual report shows inpatient treatment referrals have jumped by 6.2 per cent – which bosses say is down to people from outside the catchment area choosing the hospital for treatment.
There has also been a surge in the number of emergency patients, up by four per cent, and a 2.1 per cent rise in the number of outpatients.
