ANDOVER police are warning drug users about mixed batches of heroin which can make people aggressive and violent.
As well as being illegal, drug-users run the risk of not knowing what they are taking or what the heroin has been mixed with.
A police spokeswoman said: "The mixing of controlled substances will increase the risk to the user, especially if further mixed with alcohol."
Samples of heroin seized in Andover and analysed show it's being sold pre-mixed with a class C substance, Alprazolam. Aprazolam is a benzodiazepine, often abbreviated to benzos.
The heroin is a reddish colour and can make users spaced out' for a long time, aggressive and violent.
Drug-users are being told not to hesitate getting medical help if they, or someone they know, appears to be suffering from any effects associated with the use of drugs.
