A WOMAN who was sexually assaulted in a park in Odiham told her three-year-old son to run away so that he would not witness the attack.
The 40-year-old woman was playing with her son in Broad Oak Common on April 23, when a man approached her, asking if she had seen his dog.
The man, aged in his 30s and wearing jeans and a zip-up top, then made an indecent suggestion to the woman before sexually assaulting her. The woman and her son later managed to run to safety.
Police have now released an e-fit of the man (pictured).
Detective Constable Helen Calton, from Aldershot CID, said: "This was a violent, unprovoked attack, which could have been even more serious had the woman not managed to escape.
"The woman genuinely feared for her life and told her young son to run away because she did not want him to witness the attack."
Det Con Calton added: "We are doing everything we can to find the person responsible and would urge anyone with any information, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, to contact the investigations team."
