SEASIDE-themed activities have touched down in the town centre this summer with a bucket load of fun in tow.

Every Monday in August, from 11am to 4pm, the upper mall in the Chantry Centre will become home to the Chantry Beach bonanza, offering free activities for families.

Each week children can take part in a themed session which will include summer stories, a beach funfair and summer dancefest.

There will also be a games area and the chance to win prizes in a summer holiday quiz.

Steve Cotney, Chantry Centre manager, said: “This is the first time we’ve bought the beach to the Chantry Centre, and it will be a fantastic attraction throughout the summer for many visitors to the centre and Andover.

“A lot of our customers don’t have easy access to the seaside, so why not bring it to them.

“The best bit about it is that it can be enjoyed come rain or shine, you won’t need a towel and it’s free.

“Throughout August, there will also be a host of sun-filled activities for families to enjoy providing an excellent opportunity for the local community to come together and make the most of the holidays.”
