AN EXERCISE centre with a difference has had a boost.

The I Can Therapy Centre, based at the Salto Centre off Charlton Road, combines clinical knowledge and expertise of a therapy-led service with a community-based rehabilitation facility to help those with a variety of health conditions.

The centre, which opened last year, also offers support for those looking for increased mobility.

With a range of specially adapted power-assisted exercise equipment in place, staff said it soon became obvious they needed an assistive, fully adjustable therapy chair.

The chair allows the cycle machine to be accessed by all those at the centre and alongside other equipment, the chair assists those with standing and transfer difficulties.

To help fund the piece of equipment, Andover-based Stannah stepped in with a £2,799 donation.

And those involved say they are “absolutely delighted” with the difference the chair is making at the centre.
