AN APPEAL has gone out to thank a man who bought a trio a meal after overhearing two of them were serving in the RAF.
Sarah Walker was with her husband and a friend, who both serve in the RAF, at The Red Lion, Odiham, on Monday lunchtime when a man overheard them talking about the jobs and that the pair were serving in the forces.
Sarah takes up the story: "After he left, the waitress brought our paid receipt to us explaining the man had paid, with a note on the top of the receipt thanking my husband and friend for serving in the military. We were overwhelmed with this gentleman’s gesture."
The Red Lion posted a message from Sarah which read: "I know it’s a long shot and I don’t know if he will even be on Facebook, but we would like to thank so much the very kind gentleman.
"We would like to think he may see this post to say that we are so grateful for his kindness and generosity."
