THEY are the women who are proud of what they do and could be named the best in the borough.

The three finalists in the Businesswoman of the Year category at the Test Valley Business Awards 2018 have been revealed.

The shortlisted women who are vying to take the top spot are Stephanie Barnett of Pure Human Resources, Alana Penkethman of Parker Bullen, and Lisa Armstrong of Active Staff Ltd.

Judge Caroline Stevens, from Danebury Vineyards, said: “Being part of the judging process this year was a very welcome but challenging experience; the entries we received were of such a high standard, and it’s a real testament to our three finalists to have come this far. My sincerest congratulations to them.”

Speaking of her nomination Lisa said: “Accolades such as this are a real reflection of the involvement I have both in business and in volunteering to support local organisations to succeed in business and also enhance our region.”

Similarly, Stephanie, of Pure Human Resources, based in Romsey, said: “To win this award would mean the world to me and would also be a massive credit to all those women who have helped me succeed in my career to date: former colleagues, business contacts and now my own team.”

And Alana added: “I am fortunate to work in a role which requires me to strive for equality on a daily basis; the awards are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the success of women within such a strong and diverse business community.”

Tickets are now available for the Test Valley Business Awards gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Museum of Army Flying on September 13; costing £55 a ticket and include three-course meal and welcome drink.
