A SPINNING event to raise money for preschools has raised hundred of pounds.
On Sunday, members of the team from both Kempshott and Hatch Warren Under Fives Pre-schools spent the day on an exercise bike outside the Co-Op store in Beggarwood, raising money for the pre-schools.
They were joined by staff from the Co-Op and Beechdown Health Club, which lent the bike and took turns.
Staff and committee members from the pre-schools took it in turns to cycle for 30 minutes to raise money for a community project to get garden play equipment for the more than 100 children who use the pre-schools.
During the 15-hour event, the spinners raised more than £400.
Hatch Warren Under Fives Preschool Ltd was selected to be the chosen charity of the year by the local branch of the Co-op.
