THE chair of Odiham Parish Council has passed over the money that was raised from the village’s RAF100 celebrations.
In the RAF’s centenary year, there were events held up and down the country, and Odiham was no different, with a box car race and street parties, all to raise money for designated RAF charities.
OPC chairman Jon Hale presented the cheque for £5,080.36 to RAF station commander Group Captain Lee Turner.
There was also a trophy presentation to members of the RAF Odiham Chinook support wing’s ‘Box of Tools’ team which was the fastest boxcart racing creation at the race.
