Police are hunting two men after an elderly man had £3,000 cash stolen from his jacket pocket in Winchester.

CCTV images have now been released by Hampshire Constabulary after the 74-year-old had withdrawn the money from Nationwide.

Then, he put the money in an envelope in his pocket.

It's believe that two Eastern European men saw the withdrawal, and targeted the elderly man.

The victim was looking in the window of Donna Laine Jewellers in Parchment Street at about 3pm on July 5, when one of the men was seen putting a jacket over his shoulder, and, from the bottom of it, dipping his hand in to the victim's pocket, and stealing the envelope filled with cash.

The suspects also attempted to distract the victim in conversation.

One of the suspects is described as white, aged between 25 and 35, stocky and with short, dark receding hair. He was wearing jeans, a dark-coloured polo shirt and sunglasses on his head.

The second suspect is also aged between 25 and 35, stocky, and with light brown receding hair.
