WORLD Party will return to Eastrop Park between 10am and 6pm on Saturday.

The free family event, in its eighth year, is aimed at showcasing and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the diverse communities that live in Basingstoke.

The main stage will feature a range of music, dance and other artistic performances from across the world. Other highlights of the event include face painting, henna, inflatable slides, bungee trampoline and a variety of workshops for all age groups.

The event is organised by Basingstoke Multicultural Forum (BMF).

Spokesperson for BMF, Toju Ogbe said: “Basingstoke has become more culturally diversified over the last decade and World Party presents a unique opportunity to showcase solidarity amongst different ethnic groups that exist in the town. As usual, we look forward to a large turnout and another great day of family fun.”

A limited number of disabled parking will be available onsite in addition to a free park-and-ride shuttle from Old Down Common.
